About AppSignal

Hello, we’re AppSignal. It’s nice to meet you 👋

AppSignal isn’t your ordinary tech company. We try to be amazing at anything we do. We put our values over profit. This helped us build an independent and sustainable business we’re proud of. Does this resonate with you? Look at our vacancies and join us.

Born in 2012

Our first commit was in 2012. Over 30K commits have been made since then.

100B+ a month

AppSignal monitors over 100 billion requests a month for our customers.

16 and growing

Bigger isn’t always better. We’re doing lots of amazing work with a tight team.

Our Mission

AppSignal provides developers amazing and actionable insights into their applications. Our all-in-one monitoring product is designed for developers: easy to set up and easy to customize. AppSignal takes teams from scattered to gathered.

Our values

We’re built on a strong foundation of vision & values.

Our values are the foundation for how we act in the world. You could describe this as our character, our non-negotiable principles.

Act with integrity

We act and speak with respect, in private and in public. We choose to do what is right over what is easy.

Human and lighthearted

You can run a serious business without taking yourself too seriously. At the end of the day, we’re all humans. And we’re not afraid to show that.

Act independently

Work should fit into our team’s lives, not the other way around. That’s why we work remotely, have an unlimited vacation policy, and offer flexible work-hours.

Work with passion

When we wake up, we should feel excited to work on AppSignal because the mission inspires us. We still understand that this is a job. We have good days and bad ones.

Remote first

Working remotely from around the world.

We’re a remote company working together across the world. Currently we have people working from Greece, Latvia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Remote, but not from home

Balancing work and private life is hard enough. Mixing the two in the same physical location is often a recipe for stress. At AppSignal, we believe in “remote, but not from home”. Everyone in our team gets a budget to rent a desk or office space close to home. This creates some mental distance from work.

Our team

Meet the amazing team behind AppSignal.

Even though we don’t share an office, we share the same values. We’re an open and welcoming team, trying our best to provide everyone with the environment to do their best work. Check out our open roles if you are interested in joining us.

    Liesbeth Verhoeff

    Finance Fixer

When she’s not making sure our finances are correct and up to date, she likes to go out and ice skate with the whole family. Fun fact: Liesbeth holds a PhD totally unrelated to finance or APM.

    Noemi Lapresta

    Software Whisperer

They say that if you gaze long enough into the code, the code gazes back at you — and Noemi hasn’t lost a staring contest since 2011. She enjoys tea, warm blankets and emergent behaviour in stochastic systems.

  • Photo of Jieun Kim

    Jieun Kim

  • Photo of Dimitrios Lytras

    Product Developer

Finds peace in building user interfaces. Often gets lost in browser’s developer tools admiring the web’s beauty. Over the years as a basketball fan has filled his head with a ton of useless trivia facts about the NBA. Enjoys long runs as a form of meditation.
